Fire Ropedart

Description

Hand made fire ropedart with a technora or dyneema leash.

Head – There is quite a few options for head styles and sizes, feel free to contact should there be any issues choosing! Please note: Isis weave heads will be attached with 10cm of chain, due to their heat and size of flames from them. Extra chain can also be requested for all head styles if you want to be certain that the flames never affect the tether.

Tether Material – There are two materials on offer – Technora or Dyneema. Material descriptions are below!

• Technora – Either 5mm (3/16″) or 6mm (1/4″) tethers can be attached, and there will be a quicklink attached to the head, before the technora. This is still not a perfect method – if left in flames for too long, technora can be degraded very quickly. Please check your tethers before burning your prop, and keep your dart in motion to avoid cooking the leash!
• Dyneema – A 5mm (3/16″”) tether, which has half the friction factor (how much friction is caused by the material) of technora. Dyneema is the best rope for the advanced rope dartist! Because it has a lower heat resistance, there is a 20cm (8″) technora leash attached to the head, to protect the dyneema from touching the flames. The colour of this rope is dependent on what is in stock at the time being.

Swivel – If chosen, the technora will be spliced onto a swivel, before being attached to via a quicklink. If not, the technora will be spliced directly onto the quicklink.
